Tika Sumpter is a slender 5’7″ beauty from Queens. No surprise then that she began her career as a model, but she is so moving that the moving pictures were calling. After hosting Best Friend’s Date on the N Network, she landed the role of Layla Williamson on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live. As Layla, she had us on our knees for around five years, which led to a recurring role as Raina Thorpe on Gossip Girl, her film debut in Brooklyn’s Finest (2009), as well as various bit parts in Stomp the Yard: Homecoming (2010), Salt (2010) and What’s Your Number (2011). While her time on Gossip Girl was great, it was time for Tika to strike out with her own show, which she did by starring as Candace Young on the OWN drama The Haves and the Haves Nots. Whatever it is, Tika has it, as showcased on the show with a variety of bra, bikini, and cleverly edited non-nude sex scenes. In Ride Along 2 (2016) she seduces Kevin Hart in purple panties and a crop top, cop top that barely kept her chest cherries and berries undercover. The same year, she played future first lady Michelle Obama in Netflix’s Southside With You (2016). We hoped to see Tika in all her glory, but a shot of her about to change gave us only a towel shot. Alongside Tiffany Hadish and Whoopi Goldberg, Tika played a woman being catfished in Nobody’s Fool (2018) who performs a sexy underwear dance you don’t want to miss, set to Janet Jackson‘s “Miss You Much.” But while she hasn’t officially broken her nude seal on the silver screen, we did get a loose silk-slip nip slip in the Bessie Smith biopoc, Bessie (2015) while Tika is having a lesbian lip-lock with the one and only Queen Latifah. Hopefully, one of these days Tika gives us a peek-a!
